Stone Terraces, Mill Conversions and Weather That Finds Every Fault
Yorkshire built itself out of stone and brick that holds damp, and then put a good deal of it halfway up a hill facing the wrong way.
Back-to-backs in Leeds and Bradford, mill conversions across Halifax and Huddersfield, Victorian stock in Sheffield and Hull, and farmhouses up on the Dales at the end of a very long supply. Each one fails in its own way, and the first hard frost or the first week of horizontal rain tends to find whichever circuit was already weakest. Our electricians work the part of the county they live in, so they recognise the pattern before they lift a single faceplate.
- Bases in all four Yorkshire areas

Questions We Get From Across the Region
Answers that apply anywhere in the region. Your own town page carries the local detail.
Call 02034112027Do you reach villages up in the Dales and on the Moors? +
Yes. Wharfedale, Swaledale, the North York Moors and the Pennine villages above Halifax are all covered from our North and West Yorkshire bases. Single-track roads and winter weather add time, so you get a realistic arrival window rather than an optimistic one.
Is there a travel charge across the region? +
No. Leeds city centre and a farm outside Hawes carry the same call-out price. One figure agreed before we set off, with nothing added for mileage afterwards.
Do you work on back-to-backs and mill conversions? +
Constantly. Leeds and Bradford back-to-backs often have a board squeezed into a cupboard with circuits added over decades, and mill conversions in Halifax and Huddersfield hide long cable runs through thick stone walls. Both reward testing the route rather than guessing at the fitting.
My house is stone built and always damp. Can that trip the electrics? +
Yes, and it is one of our most frequent findings here. Moisture tracking through solid stone or into an outside meter box will trip an RCD repeatedly while everything looks perfectly dry indoors. We test for it rather than reset the board and leave.
Do you cover student housing and HMOs? +
Yes. Leeds, Sheffield and Hull have thousands of converted student properties where circuits were split room by room without the board ever being upgraded. We can carry out landlord certification during the same visit.
Can you attend industrial and port units? +
Yes. Steel and engineering units around Sheffield and Rotherham, plus warehousing and port facilities on the Humber, are all familiar. Three-phase work and out-of-hours attendance cost the same as any other callout.
