Rain, Red Brick and Buildings That Changed Their Minds
The North West rains more than anywhere we work, and a great deal of its housing was built for mills and docks that closed long before the wiring was last touched.
Terraces in Bolton and Oldham, dock-era stock in Liverpool, warehouse conversions in central Manchester, holiday flats along the Blackpool front and farms out towards the Cheshire border. Each was wired for one purpose and is now used for another, which is why so many faults here sit in the alterations rather than the original work. Our electricians are based across all four counties, so the van that reaches you is not crossing the M60 at rush hour to get there.
- Bases across all four counties
- No mileage added to the invoice
- Terraces, conversions and coastal flats
- Domestic, landlord and commercial
Questions We Get From Across the Region
Answers that apply anywhere in the region. Your own town page carries the local detail.
Call 02034112027Do you cover both Manchester and Liverpool properly? +
Yes, with separate bases in each. The two city regions are forty minutes apart on a good day and considerably more at rush hour, so running both from one depot would mean one of them always waiting. A call from Bootle does not sit behind a job in Stockport.
How far up the Lancashire coast do you go? +
Through Blackpool and Fleetwood up to Lancaster and Morecambe, and inland across the Ribble Valley. Rural addresses add some time, which we tell you on the phone rather than quoting a city arrival for somewhere an hour out.
Is there a travel charge in the region? +
No. Manchester city centre and a farm near Nantwich carry the same call-out price. One figure agreed before we set off, nothing added for mileage at the end.
Can you get into secure city centre apartment blocks at night? +
Usually yes, and we are used to the arrangements. Concierge access, fob entry and riser cupboards that need a building key all slow things down, so tell us on the call and we will sort access while we travel rather than after arriving.
Do you work on holiday flats and seafront property? +
Yes. Blackpool, Lytham and Morecambe seafront flats take a beating from damp and salt, and we find corroded terminals and seized RCDs behind faceplates that look perfectly fine. We can attend for landlords and letting agents while the property is empty.
Can you attend warehouses and industrial units? +
Yes. Distribution units along the M6 and M62, engineering workshops across Greater Manchester and port facilities on Merseyside are all routine. Three-phase work and out-of-hours attendance are charged at the standard rate.
