A Region of Long Roads and Old Buildings
The East of England is wide. An electrician who sets off from one depot in Hertfordshire will not reach a Norfolk village before midnight, so ours do not try.
We keep vans in each county instead. It also means our electricians know the local building stock: the Cambridge colleges and converted terraces, the timber-framed cottages across Suffolk, the post-war estates in Stevenage and Harlow, and the coastal chalets where salt and damp do slow damage behind every faceplate. That knowledge is what turns a long night of guessing into a fault found in twenty minutes.
- Bases in every county we cover
- No mileage added to the invoice
- Period, rural and coastal property
- Domestic, landlord and commercial
Questions We Get From Across the Region
Answers that apply anywhere in the region. Your own town page carries the local detail.
Call 020 3411 2027How far into rural Norfolk and Suffolk do you go? +
All of it. The Broads, the villages between Norwich and the coast, and the quiet stretches of Suffolk are covered from our Norwich and Ipswich bases. Rural addresses usually add twenty minutes or so, and we tell you that honestly on the phone rather than quoting a town time for a farmhouse.
Do you charge extra for travel in the region? +
No. Watford and Great Yarmouth are a long way apart, but the call-out price does not change between them. We would rather give one clear figure than add mileage at the end.
Can you work on thatched and timber-framed properties? +
Yes, and they need a different hand. Thatch and old timber frames raise real fire risk around older wiring, junction boxes and downlights. We inspect the route a cable takes, not just the fitting at the end of it, and we will say plainly if something needs rewiring rather than patching.
Do you cover park homes, caravans and coastal chalets? +
Yes. Sites along the Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk coast have their own supply arrangements and their own faults, usually damp, corrosion or an overloaded hook-up. We work on the unit itself and can liaise with the site office where the supply side is involved.
Can you attend labs, offices and business parks? +
Yes. The Cambridge science and tech parks, Peterborough industrial units and office space across Hertfordshire are all familiar to us. Out-of-hours attendance costs the same as daytime, so a fault does not have to stop your working day.
My village loses power often. Is that my wiring or the network? +
Both happen here. If the whole street is dark it is the distribution network and we will tell you so rather than charge you to find out. If it is only your property, the fault is inside your boundary and that is exactly what we fix.
